Nancy Rebecca

NANCY REBECCA is a Retired Registered Nurse who worked in Intensive Cardiac Care and Hospice. Following her awakening, her world became filled with teachers from the spiritual multidimensional realms, but finding a language to describe her experiences was often a challenge.

Thirty years later, as a full-time Intuitive/Psychic Development teacher, Nancy’ shares her story of how she discovered her intuitive gifts and developed them into a spirit-led life. Her students learn that all the answers are within them, they only need to access the answers by closing their eyes so their spirit can step in as their teacher.

Intuitive Mind, which Nancy created with Yvonne Kilcup is a culmination of over two decades of intense study of the human energy field and over 15 years of teaching student programs that define and normalize our concepts of being intuitive by guiding each student to organically grow themselves into revealing their soul’s personality and purpose. Intuitive Mind offers meditation tools, workshops, online programs and community support to help others cultivate their intuitive abilities, and heal with humanity.

My 10 Best

(In no particular order)

Mandy

This book has remained with me for over 50 years since I first read it at 12 years old. I consider it a spiritual book of resilience, fortitude, and tenacity that can rise up within us when faced with big life events, that can only be understood (maybe) from an adult perspective. Yet, when in a young child’s body how large that life seems, while feeling so small and insignificant to face it head on. I did not know that I had deeper feelings of loss, isolation, loneliness, and perceived inability to build relationships with others until I read this book. What I did know was that I had an incredible imagination, wonderment of the world, an ability to find the light through the cracked door that enabled me to problem solve quickly whatever I was faced with.

Pippi Longstocking

As a young pre-teen, life outside and inside of me was unpredictable, unreliable, fly by the seat of my pants, build the wings on the way off the cliff kind of childhood. My mother has this core sense of adventure, curiosity, playfulness, with an anything goes kind of personality. Nothing was a problem, just another adventure, like a treasure map to follow the clues along the way. Pippi did not have parents, lived on her own, and although should have been sad, lonely, with a strong desire for family, seemed to always have a way of making the best of any situation. Spiritually inspiring, to always look at the glass half full, get excited to find the breadcrumbs of the next adventure, and sparked within me an insane curiosity to learn more about everything. To this day, I reach for the knowledge of something that drives everything forward. Does that make sense?

Journeys out of the Body

This book literally saved my life of questioning my own sanity when I had repeated out of body experiences that I could not manage, nor understand. This book is completely about my life at that time. Robert Monroe, had an out of body experience but he did not experience it through a near death episode. Once he had his first OOBE, his curiosity was sparked to explore, understand and document every moment of it. I too, had my first OOBE experience, then my curiosity was sparked at levels that did not allow me to ‘want’ to think about anything else. In over 40 out of body trips, I set myself up to try all kinds of experiments without the confines of my physical human body. It was only after this, that I had the courage to approach a fellow nurse, who wore flowy skirts and Birkenstock shoes. She certainly looks like someone who would know what is happening to me. She did and out of that came this book recommendation.

Hands of Light

Another sanity saving book for me. When I had my first out of body experience (OOBE), when I was able to return to my body, I became what I call, “suddenly sighted”. I could see the human energy field in all its beautiful glory, from expressive auric movement, spinning chakras while spirit guides and loved ones surrounded people. Yet, I had to pretend that I could not ‘see’ anything except the what was acceptable in the real world. My father is a physician, so he drove me to Borders Book store and we scoured the shelves to find anything that could remotely describe my new found abilities. I can still remember, grabbing the book Hands of Light off the shelf, and thumbing through it. The color images of energy fields, jumped off the pages, as I slid down to the floor engrossed, happy, content, in knowing I was not alone.

Male and Female Energies

I was fortunate to be able to have Mary Ellen Flora be one of my main teachers when I knew I needed to understand what was happening to my life. All of her books, took me to places that could only be obtained by doing the deep inner work needed to manage this new multidimensional work. To this day, I consider her the most incredible teacher of all time. ‘If’, you can handle her no nonsense, ask your own spirit for all your own answers, way of teaching. Thirty years ago, no one was talking about Male and Female Energies. It was so cutting edge. I learned that I could only go so far in my spiritual development, in an out of balanced state. Bringing in the aspects of male/female balance, literally changed how my body interpreted my world.

Earth Energy the New Frontier

This book taught me the incredible value of grounding my own spiritual light into my incredible physical body. Mary Ellen once said, “when you learn to take your physical body with you in your development, you will go places spiritually, you never thought was possible.” In this book, it emphasizes how our patterns are set in our pre- conception and early childhood development experiences. This book takes the reader step by step through dismantling those early adverse experiences that unravel stubborn adult behaviors in an instant. It expanded my understanding of just how incredibly dynamic the human condition is. Which led me to carry this further as a nurse, when working with the health of the human energy field.

Autobiography of a Yogi

This book is meant to be savored. I am a fast reader by nature, but with this book, I took my time hanging on every word. I could feel the sacredness dripping off of every word. This book spiritually touched me, as I felt in some ways, his life was my life. His story could be my story. He was found by a guru, who taught him to know himself, know his own words, and know his own path. He followed his path, not knowing where it was to lead him, but he knew it would lead him where is was supposed to lead him. He had an incredible trust and faith in the divine grace of spirit. He was able to express a love for the unseen world, in ways that I could feel it but not describe it. My deep yearning to know God, was there, but with no one to share it with. I knew him, and it felt like he knew me. As you can tell, my memory of this book remains an unseeable, unknowable love affair with the great creator, that longs to be realized at the human level.

The Harry Potter Series

In my own work as a ‘SEER’, it is not only the brilliant luminescent light that I see, but also the darker side of the human and spiritual realms. To me this series of books was much more than entertaining the imagination. These books were my reality, that I did not have an outlet for. To this day, I am not asked, about the darker realms of this multidimensional world we live in. What I could relate to the most, was that Harry Potter was a young ‘orphan’, with a BIG calling to help the world. He had a sensitivity to know the light and dark that encompasses the world, while going about making friends, finding girls cute, going through his own insecurities and doubts that he is the right person for the job. I know that desire to just walk away from the spiritual task at hand, yet doing it anyway because he knew it was what he was born to do. I love instilling this same sense of purpose in my own students.

The Dark Side of the Light Chasers

What a brave soul Debbie Ford was to write such a much-needed body of work. As a spiritual book, she was able to write the journey of the light worker who also carries within them their own dark side. I knew that I can only heal what I am able to see within myself. If I can not see my own dark side then I am unable to heal it. Yet, I struggled to find the words to describe this to others as a spiritual lesson. My clients would stare back at me with blank stares, when I gently nudged them to see beyond just the light, bright, angelic love of life. Often, they would ask, “now why would I want to do that? I wish to remain, love and light. “ Debbie Ford, did such a beautiful way of leading the reader into seeing all sides of themselves as something beautiful, even if it stood in the shadows. Her book remains a ‘must read’ for all of my students.

Power VS Force

This spiritual book, literally changed how I viewed everything in terms of vibrational frequencies. I knew about intention, I knew about words, I knew how thoughts could influence, and how thoughts, feelings, and intentions could create what you want or not want. But it was when I read all the studies done from a place of being hidden in envelopes, that the penny dropped for me. Everything carries a spiritual frequency, and that frequency can carry you a short or long distance in your spiritual development. It simply depends on where you wish to align yourself. Learning that the Alcoholics Anonymous Program has such a high frequency surprised me. I realized then, that the AA program is a spiritual program of the highest source. To this day, I am able to look at something beyond face value, and more from a frequency perspective. Just as a spiritual program can appear wonderful, yet the frequency can be low. I have handed out many copies of this book over the years.
