Awakening Osiris
When life brings loss, we search for understanding. This book was a beautiful part of my own healing after the death of my father. In the early morning hours before dawn, I’d lay flat on my back on the concrete floor of my back porch, listening to the wisdom compiled in The Egyptian Book of the Dead translated and explored here by Ellis. Death can be easy. Feeling left behind is the hard part. This book speaks to the physical transition from the earthly plane to the spiritual dimension, bringing greater solace and clarity to those of us still on this side. We all experience loss, the death of a part of life we once knew. Experiencing how the ancient wisdom keepers across many traditions spoke of this transition process helped me learn how to more fully live, right here and right now.

This book was a homecoming. Growing up in a house of seers, healers, and mystics, I always thought “magic” was normal…until the world scoffed and implored otherwise, prompting me to question the seemingly supernatural abilities. This tiny but mighty paperback gem somehow caught my eye in an otherwise cluttered Amazon lineup. It was early December, so its arrival was swift – as was my reading of it; I couldn’t put it down! What struck me (even beyond its narrative set near Bethlehem over two thousand years ago and briefly interwoven with the humbled divinity of the Nativity) was the purity from which Mandino’s axioms were delivered. Whilst couched in a theme of “selling” – a notion my artist’s nature once found distasteful – this little book reminds us to live each day fully, authentically, with love and without regret; to master our emotions, laugh heartily, and embrace the wonder that is your true divine self. The ultimate “salesperson” is grounded in the truth of what s/he presents and shares with the world. In today’s technologically driven world of social media, perhaps we all are in “sales”, to some degree or another. Yet the question remains: what are you selling? This little gem was impossible to put down. I immediately bought twenty copies as holiday gifts.
Pure Human
I’ve always said, “when I grow up, I wanna be like Gregg Braden.” His ability to effortlessly trace logic trails for listeners of all levels of perception makes any of his writings accessible, thought-provoking, and expanding. If you could have a crush on a writer’s words, I confess to being enamored by Braden’s authentic style. Pure Human delivers the truth behind our human divinity, straddling with ease complex topics and ideas, from decoding and deciphering the language of our DNA to transhumanism, from star civilizations to neurobiology, to the power of choice and the modern day battle of “good and evil.” The mystical scientist provides eleven pages of published, verifiable science to empower readers to research further because knowledge awakens conscious choice. Pardon my starry-eyed gaze as I flip back to Chapter 1. Again.

Polymath and polyglot author Jocelyn Godwin continues to captivate me with his extensive understanding of sound, ancient perspectives, music history, and modern classical musical theory. In this anthology of all things musical, mystical, and magical, Godwin provides an incredible wealth of information for anyone curious about the history of how Western mystics, magicians, and philosophers have understood and used the power of sound. When exploring new ideas or reimaging ancient ways to harmonize life with the power of sound, I love to reference some of these historical writings. This resource is a must read for anyone journeying through the splendor of sound!
Parables from Shambala
Poetry is a path towards the ever unfolding nature of wisdom. Parables make poetry real and accessible in the otherwise mundane pursuit of everyday life. Dushkova’s words dance and ring with an ancient wisdom that opens my heart and haunts my soul. This little gem is best digested as one would a large meal, savored one morsel at a time to allow all the flavors to fully blossom on the palette. But, really, shouldn’t all of life be experienced this way? The vibration patterns and frequencies of these words still linger as an eternal echo in my mind. I highly recommend listening to this book – reader John Sackville manages to hypnotize, contributing an additional depth of color, frequency, and vibration into these powerful parables of ancient truth. Mesmerizing!
The Crystal Singer
I would seldom imbibe in fiction, more often than not begrudgingly thinking “if I’m going to invest time, energy, and attention into reading a book, I wanna learn something.” lol Delightfully, this trilogy smashed my previously limited paradigm that enjoyment cannot equate to deep learning. Wow! What ideas, visions, and memories flowed through my consciousness from these pages! Originally suggested to me by our dear friend John Stuart Reid because of its depth of imagination, readability, and connection to crystals, I highly recommend this series to anyone fascinated by crystals and how they might, can, and do inspire our world. If truth is stranger than fiction, one can only intuit (and wait with baited breath) our next evolutionary understanding of the power of energy and information frozen within the sparkling treasures we call crystals. I now read fiction.

The Physics Of Angels
Ever since I was a child, I could hear them. Whispers of angels, songs of the divine, the music of the spheres. There is seldom a time when music or vibrations or sounds are not murmuring through my mind, often appearing as melodies or resonating as physical sensations. Growing up attending both a pentecostal church and Episcopal house of worship, there had been fundamental gaps in the ecstatic expressions of the divine (e.g. speaking in tongues, or what I now know to be “light language”) and the more contemplative understanding of angelic presence. The Law of Light
Spiritual connection is perhaps the most singular pursuit of life, whether we as individuals recognise this or not.
